1-2-3, the three kingpins of Parkhurst's inaugural hockey card issue have recently returned from KSA's examination and assessment process to lead this batch, with Gordie Howe's cherished rookie card leading the slabbed threesome at 3 VG. Three small light creases are of the peripheral type and do not affect the image of the reigning scoring champion of the day. With a side-to-side crease and creasing in the upper (black) background is Maurice Richard's RC (2 G), while four "x"s and a mark on Terry Sawchuk's face help send card #61 to 1 FP. Anticipate a similar lower grade variety among the raw rest, with the lowdown as follows: Approximately half (50 cards) are superior than the others and are either crease-free or with a not-drastic light crease and in the VG vicinity (G+, VG, VG+). Boom Boom Geoffrion's RC (VG) is most notable, with 3-Bouchard RC, 26-Quackenbush RC, 56-Lindsay RC (G+), and 75-Broda also in that stack. With a more obvious crease or creases and/or additional corner wear are three dozen acceptable entries (mostly G, with some at F), including Harvey (F), Delvecchio, Lumley, Bouchard, Stanley and 105-Conacher RCs, along with 1-Lach and 52-The Winning Goal. Ten are heavily and/or multi-creased P cards (Kennedy, Olmstead, Pronovost RCs), while half a dozen have suspect measurements or edges, suggesting trimming, with 15-McNeil and 55-Kelly rookies to note. Highlighting the (overall similar condition) 28 duplicates are 56-Lindsay RC (G+) and 52-Barilko (Winning Goal)(F), with an extra Harvey RC (P) torn and heavily creased. All sorts of possibilities await you upon the arrival of these classic hobby favorites.
