Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/28/2023
Receiving his first selection to an NHL All-Star Team, HOFer Tom Johnson helped lead the Montreal Canadiens to the first of five-consecutive Stanley Cup championships in 1955-56. Hailing from his personal collection, we have Johnson's 1955-56 Canadiens framed team photo. A gorgeous black and white image at approx 11" x 13", affixed to a 15 1/2" x 18" mount, the club is depicted in the traditional on ice team photo, with the Stanley Cup front and center. The photographer Roger St-Jean is listed within the bottom right, with the desirable photo framed to full dimensions of approx 17" x 20". The photo itself is flawless, with just a few spots to the mount. The frame also shows wear. An LOA from the Johnson family will accompany.
While all of our frames are thoroughly and safely packaged for shipping, due to the size and/or weight, and dependent upon the shipping company, we should mention that damage may occur in transit. Please note that as such, we are not responsible for damage to frames that occur during shipping.
