Direct from the personal collection of HOFer Tom Johnson, we have a Boston Bruins jersey attributed to Chris Oddleifson during the 1973-74 NHL season. Wilson labeling with "73" handwritten is affixed to the collar, with the tag also sporting a small handwritten "56" size designation as well while the dual-garter fight strap also remains intact. Styled with the classic Bruins team crest in layered tackle twill, "22" is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with the Bruins 50th anniversary crests to the shoulders. Game use includes wear to the material throughout, with brown spotting occurring in a number of different areas including the fight strap. There are also material pulls to the sleeves and pilling to the interior, with 1 team repair to the reverse, 2 to the front, 1 to the left sleeve and 3 to the right. We should further note that while Oddleifson played in 49 reg. season games in 1973-74, the possibility exists that Doug Gibson wore the jersey after Oddleifson was traded to the Vancouver Canucks in February 1974. Gibson only played 2 reg. season games and 1 playoff game for the Bruins in 1973-74. An LOA from the Johnson family will accompany.
