Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021

Jacques Villeneuve wore this custom-made fire suit while driving for Bar Honda in 2002. The suit is tagged in the front zipper by the factory “JV-007-02-D”. This coding means it was the 7th suit of this model made for Villeneuve during the 2002 season. The Sparco tag in the collar has his handwritten name “Villeneuve", date "15-01-2002" and ref "007”. Sparco manufactured the suit without any Lucky Strike lettering but instead uses the play on words “Look Alike” and the traditional red and black circle instead. The suit has "J. Villeneuve" and the Canadian flag sewn into the belt area as well as sponsor patches embroidered on various areas of the suit. There are no Velcro patches on the collar or at the top of the zipper with both showing evidence that these were removed. Jacques has applied his signature on the upper left breast/shoulder area of the suit. This item is from Jacques Villeneuve's personal collection and will come with his signed LOA.
