Classic Auctions, Blockchain Foundry and the Hawerchuk estate are pleased to announce the initial launch of the "Legendary Hockey Series" of NFTs. Legendary will highlight the career milestones of the greatest players to grace the ice. We are excited to launch this series looking at the iconic career of the incomparable Dale Hawerchuk.
This initial series of three "1 of 1" NFTs will feature three of his most memorable career highlights.
First Overall 1981 NHL Entry Draft Pick by the Winnipeg Jets
1987 Canada Cup Finals Game #3 Third Period Faceoff - Leading to Lemieux's Tournament-Clinching Goal
Hockey Hall of Fame 2001 Induction
It is with great pleasure that we announce the third of a three-part NFT series paying homage to three of the most epic moments of the late Dale Hawerchuk’s career. This third NFT in the series looks at Dale’s induction in the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2001.
Achieving induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame is no small feat, it takes more than just basic skill. It takes character and determination along with a lasting and accomplished career, something very few players are able to experience in their lifetime.
Receiving the special honour 4 years out of retirement, Dale was enshrined in the history books as one of the greatest to ever lace up the skates. Still to this day, Dale’s career is showcased in his prominent place in the top 20 greatest point producers of all-time.
Such an accomplishment deserves recognition and the Legendary series is wrapping-up its initial "3 of 3" NFT series remembering the career of the late Dale Hawerchuk.
