With their first opponent the Winnipeg Jets during the 1989-90 NHL playoffs, the Edmonton Oilers went down 3 games to 1 to the boys from Manitoba, but clawed their way back, taking the series in seven before defeating LA, Chicago and Boston to claim their 5th and most recent Stanley Cup championship. This absolutely huge collection of 35mm negatives totals approx 3,245 and features the contests played against the Peggers in Edmonton, including Game 1 (April 4th), Game 2 (April 6th), Game 5 (April 12th) and Game 7 (April 16th), with the stars from each club pictured in images including Mark Messier, Dale Hawerchuk, Glenn Anderson, Jari Kurri, Kevin Lowe, Bill Ranford and others. Each set of negatives comes in it’s original envelope, with most listing the game and date. Highlights include the Oilers at practice, Oilers locker room hijinks, the Jets dressing room after Game 5, images of fans and supporters and more. The majority of the negatives remain in excellent condition with no issues.
