Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Icing clubs throughout the USHL’s existence, the Tulsa Oilers saw action from 1945-46 to and including 1950-51, and we offer a jersey from the late-1940s/early-1950s with use attributed to Nick Knott (1948-50) and Bud Poise (1950-51). A small Buck’s label with Tulsa address and “50” sizing is affixed to the front hem, with no other labeling. Sporting a beige body with “6” sewn to the front and verso in layered tackle twill, a capital “T” is also sewn to each upper sleeve in matching material. Exhibiting considerable wear with the collar quite tattered and frayed with material loss, the fraying is continued throughout the tackle twill identifiers, with the dark striping bands also faded. There is some blood staining to the lower front, reverse and right sleeve. We should further note that according to the detailed accompanying LOA document, Knott is shown wearing the captain's "C" on team photos, while other images found show him not wearing the “C”.
