A skilled goal scorer with 1,100+ NHL contests under his belt, Bernie Nicholls registered over 1,200 points throughout his career and is one of only eight players in history to score 70 goals in a single season. Selected by the Los Angeles Kings in 1980, Nicholls saw action in 22 regular-season games during the 1981-82 season, his first in the NHL, we offer a photo-matched jersey worn by the star during the 1982-83 season, his first full season and technically his Rookie season . A partially-detached Maska label and sewn-down “48” size tag is affixed to the collar, with an embroidered Maska logo on the reverse hem. Styled with a thick multi-coloured Kings team crest with embroidered detailing, “9” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with “Nicholls” across the affixed nameplate in single royal purple twill. The jersey also sports a tie-up fight strap. Showing great game-use with heavy wear to the material throughout including marks, burns and scrapes, there are a few small holes/slits on the lower front and sleeves, with a tear to the nameplate. Team repairs are also visible, with a few examples situated over each sleeve. An included numeric image has been matched to the perfect placement of the upper area of the team crest in correlation with the mesh holes on the jersey. The image also shows perfect placement of the mesh holes in correlation to the collar.
