Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Solid D-man Roman Hamrlik, who spent 20 years as an NHL big-leaguer before retiring in the fall of 2013, donned this photo-matched Montreal Canadiens gamer during the 2007-08 campaign, his first of four seasons with the bleu, blanc et rouge after seeing action in two seasons with Calgary. Size “58” tagging appears along the collar with handwritten “2” (second set), with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the famous and sacred CH team crest, the white V-neck has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Hamrlik” across the nameplate in single blue twill. Nice game-use is shown with marks over the front, along with marks, burns, material pulls and small areas of paint transfer to the sleeves. Getty Image #789064417 (Jan 10, 2008) has been matched to the dark mark within the middle left side of the "H" of "CH" within the team crest, with the two long extended threads also visible - with additional marks to the team crest that do not show up in the image as they came after. Additionally, Getty Image #79855673 (Feb 17, 2008) has been matched to a few marks on the team crest, with their shapes and placements identical. The team patch (A01229) sits on the inside hem while a hologram numbered “GW49033” has been affixed to the second reverse “4”, with both numbers matching the accompanying LOA from the Canadiens.
