This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Selected by Pittsburgh during his time in the OHL with Kitchener, Robert Bortuzzo made his debut for the Penguins in 2011-12 and spent parts of four seasons with the club, later winning a Stanley Cup championship with St Louis, in 2019. From his first full season with the black and gold, we offer a photo-matched Penguins jersey worn by Bortuzzo in 2013-14, with JerseyTRAK documents included that list the games the jersey was worn-in, beginning on Jan 3, 2014 and concluding on April 12, 2014. A label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crest gracing the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the Penguins team crest that features embroidered detailing, “41” is sewn to the customized sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with “Bortuzzo” across the affixed nameplate in matching material. The Pens equipment manager Dana Heinze has also signed the fight strap. Showing nice game-use with a few marks to the sleeves, there is also a single team repair beneath the team crest. Getty Image #481125945 (March 26, 2014) has been matched to the small holes visible just above the right cuff, with the dark mark directly to the left, as well as the burn mark over the left shoulder also matching. The “Set 2” team patch resides on the inside hem, with a team COA to accompany along with the aforementioned JerseyTRAK documents.
