Just the second major professional sports team based in Quebec City after the famous Quebec Bulldogs, the Nordiques were an original WHA member in 1972, and joined the NHL during the 1979 expansion along with Winnipeg, Edmonton and Hartford. This lot contains a collection of sticks both issued and game-used by Nords players totaling 15 and spanning approx from the mid-to-late-1970s to late-1980s. Included, we have sticks used by Alain Cote (3, circa mid-1980s, one signed), Michel Goulet (early-1980s game-issued), Real Cloutier (late-1970s/early-1980s game-issued and signed), Dale Hunter (1983-84), Marc Tardif (heavy wear), Claude Loiselle (late-1980s, signed, with the blade tape removed), JF Sauve (blade tape removed), Bo Berglund (1988 Olympics game-issued stick, signed), Normand Rochefort, JC Tremblay (2, from WHA, no name on shafts), Andre Dupont (2, early-1980s, no name on shafts) and one other. The group shows varying degrees of game-use, with no sticks broken or badly damaged.
