Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021

Recently examined and encapsulated by KSA are these two desirable cards, led by Nolan Ryan's 1969 Topps issue from the season the young hurler helped the New York Mets earn their "Miracle Mets" moniker. In his early-20s, Nolan's prowess as a strikeout pitcher earned a mention on the back of card #533, the cartoon informing of his fanning of 14 batters in a game in 1968. A ding to the bottom right corner was involved in the 6.5 ENM+ assessment, while a '66 O-Pee-Chee Pete Rose card came in at 6 ENM. Light touches at the four corners are all that we can detect, with "PTD. IN CANADA" indeed appearing on the reverse. Nolan and Pete - an interesting pair, for sure! Both cards are in scratch-free holders and await your encapsulated card shrine.
