Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021

Montreal native Mario Lemieux, who would go to become the savior of professional hockey in Pittsburgh, is featured here on his 1985-86 O-Pee-Chee rookie card, with card #9 recently inspected and graded 7.5 NM+ by the KSA firm. Wear at the bottom two corners is visible, with not perfect but pleasing centering also noteworthy. Mentioned on the back is how Mario scored his first NHL goal on his very first shift in a game against the Boston Bruins - nice. Also nice is how Mario increased to 141 points in his second season to finish second only to Wayne Gretzky in the NHL scoring race. A nice Lemieux RC, in a scratch-free KSA holder, awaits your Mario/RC/'84-85 OPC collection.
