Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
A two-times James Norris winner while also earning the Conn Smythe Trophy in 1978, Larry Robinson was honoured by the most storied club in hockey when his number was raised to the rafters, never to be worn again. Hailing from Robinson’s Jersey Retirement Night on Nov, 19, 2007, we have a Canadiens alternate captain’s jersey worn during the retirement ceremony by Steve Begin. A CCM label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with “22” handwritten. Styled with the classic Habs team crest with Big Bird’s “19” over the sleeves and verso in tackle twill, the “19” retirement patch is sewn to the right breast. Worn for just the retirement ceremony, Robinson has signed the reverse “9” in blue marker, with considerable bleeding occurring to the signature. An LOA signed by Steve Begin will accompany.
