Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
The fitting end to his dominant Hall of Fame career, Jean Beliveau would don the famous sweater of the storied Montreal Canadiens for his final season in 1970-71, a campaign that witnessed the iconic legend secure his 500th goal and hoist his 10th and final Stanley Cup championship as a player. This stick was used by Beliveau during his final NHL season, in 1970-71. A hefty Victoriaville Pro model with “J. Beliveau” and “4” stamped, “Special Order Model” appears along the topside shaft, with both striping accents in Habs colours intact. The original black tape remains on the blade and well-worn white tape over the knob, with just light game-use exhibited including a few marks to the blade and lower shaft. There is also some mild age spotting to the mid-shaft. Beliveau placed a thin dark ink signature near the upper striping accent, with some minor fading occurring.
