Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Scoring the most runs in the majors and coming off the heartbreaking loss to Bobby Thomson and the New York Giants the previous year, the Brooklyn Dodgers won the NL pennant in 1952 four games over the Giants, but lost to Mickey Mantle and the powerful New York Yankees in the Fall Classic. This oversized framed photo has been signed by 8 Dodgers legends. Pictured amid celebrations in 1952, the 16” x 20” black and white photo depicts the smiling Bums, with Rocky Nelson, Andy Pafko, Ralph Branca, Dick Williams, Clyde King, Joe Black, Clem Labine and Carl Erskine all signing, with the signatures all slightly faded. Double-matted and framed to 23 ½” x 27 ½”, a hologram has been affixed, with matching LOA from PSA/DNA to accompany. We should also note some wear to the frame.
