All sorts of fun is to be had with this assortment of goodies from the hockey card boom years, with numerous highlights to tell you about. Two limited autographed Bobby Orr 1991-92 Score cards, a signed Eric Lindros Pinnacle (pack pull) card, a Don Cherry-signed Parkhurst Parkie Reprints card and a Durivage card autographed in gold ink by Jocelyn Thibault are among them, with a Jaromir Jagr rookie card pulled from a ’90-91 OPC Premier set exhibiting a curvature, (like the rest) and touched corners. There are numerous unopened factory sets, other sets, (Classic Draft, etc.) and insert sets or near stets from Upper Deck, Leaf, Fleer Flair, Donruss Elite, Parkhurst and others, with miscellaneous parallels, inserts, in-person autographed cards, food issues (Kraft, Jell-O, McDonald’s, etc.) and still more to provide some surely pleasant surprises. Special Kraft sets in leather binders are from ’92-93 and ‘93-94, with a 1999-00 McDonald’s set also in a special binder. Parkhurst International Crown Collection cards, both silver and gold, are plentiful and like some of the other inserts, star Gretzky, Mario, Roy, Brodeur and other players now in the Hall of Fame. Our consignor was definitely an Eric Lindros collector/believer early on, with a Lindros stack including three Oshawa Generals oversized cards. Two ’90-91 OPC Premier sets housed in binders are unfortunately reprints. No matter, there is plenty of interesting sifting and sorting and pricing for an entrepreneurial hobbyist.
