This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Born in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, and first learning to box while in a reformatory in upstate New York, Jack LaMotta would compete in over 100 bouts between 1941 and 1954, and would be knocked down only a single time, by Danny Nardico, on New Year’s Eve, 1952. His life was later immortalized on the silver screen by Martin Scorsese and he was wonderfully portrayed by Robert De Niro. This framed photo has been signed by the Raging Bull. At 8” x 10” and featuring LaMotta in the ring, his flawless black marker signature sits along the base, with the photo matted and framed to approx 14” x 16”. A hologram from PSA/DNA has been affixed, with a matching COA to accompany.
