Having a limited career due to injuries, Larry Keenan spent parts of four seasons with St Louis and scored the first goal in the history of the Blues, against Cesare Maniago and the Minnesota North Stars, on Oct 11, 1967. The North Bay native also enjoyed short stints with Toronto, Buffalo and Philadelphia. This stick was used by Keenan in 1969-70, and it has been team-signed by the St Louis Blues including legendary deceased netminder Jacques Plante. A CCM Pattern Made Custom Pro model with “Keenan” stamped to the upper shaft, the original black tape remains on the blade and knob (“18” has been handwritten), with most of the striping accent intact. Sporting just light game-use with a few marks to the shaft, 17 have signed one side of the shaft – mostly in ballpoint, including the aforementioned Plante (clean example with no obstructions to the signature), Talbot, McDonald, Wakely, Crisp, Goyette, Sabourin, Maki, Picard, Berenson, Ecclestone, Gray, Roberts, both Plagers and two others. The majority of the signatures remain bold and display well with no issues. The Blue advanced to the Stanley Cup finals in 1969-70.
