Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
The 75th player in history to reach 1,000 NHL career points, Daniel Alfredsson spent the majority of his 18-seasons in the nation’s capital with the Senators and holds numerous franchise records. The Swede also represented his nation continuously throughout his career, winning gold at the 2006 Winter Olympics. This signed stick was used by the star during his rookie era, circa 1996-97, with this specific type of model also seeing use with Alfredsson at the 1995 IIHF World Championships and 1996 World Cup of Hockey. A Sher-Wood PMPX 9950 model with “Alfredsson” and “11” stamped, the NHL striping accent is present over the lower shaft. The original tape over the handle and spiral pattern down the shaft are intact, with the blade tape removed to facilitate the large and flowing black marker signature placed across the front-side blade. Just light game-use is exhibited, with a bit of wear to the blade and shaft, with the tape over the handle slightly discoloured.
