Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
A product of the University of Wisconsin Badgers, spending a trio of seasons at the Big Ten school, Justin Schultz made his NHL debut with Edmonton in 2012-13 and won back-to-back Stanley Cup championships with Pittsburgh. From his third season in Alberta, we have a signed and photo-matched helmet worn by Schultz in 2014-15. A white Bauer model with Oakley visor worn for road games, Oilers decals grace each side, with “19” over the forehead and lower reverse, with an NHL decal also positioned on the lower right reverse. Sporting light to moderate game-use with scratches over the surface along with a few cuts and indentations to the material, a sticker with “Justin Schultz” has been affixed to the interior that lists the season. Getty Image #462668098 (Jan 31, 2015) has been matched to the small pattern of dark marks just above the top edge of the Oakley visor where the screws bolt on the left side of the helmet, with the chip within the blue at the base of the Oakley visor sticker also visible. Schultz placed a blue marker signature over the top that displays well (there is a small area of loss along with a minor smudge), with a matching LOA to accompany from the Oilers.
