Winning each and every game of the 1951-52 Stanley Cup playoffs, with no player scoring on the immortal Terry Sawchuk on Olympia ice, the Detroit Red Wings captured the franchise’s fifth Stanley Cup championship after defeating Montreal in the final which included a pair of shutouts. Ted Lindsay led the Red Wings in goals throughout the postseason, and we offer the 1951-52 Detroit Red Wings Stanley Cup Champions serving dish that originates from his personal collection. At 10” in diameter with a silver-plated finish, the circular tray features attractive engraved floral patterns and scroll work, with “National Hockey League – Stanley Cup Winners – Season 1951-52” engraved along the top, and “Detroit Hockey Club Inc – Ted Lindsay” engraved along the base. "Sheffield Reproduction" (name of the pattern) is also stamped to the underside, along with a couple hallmarks. Sporting scratch marks over the top of the tray, there is also tarnishing throughout, with this cleanable if so desired. An LOA from the Lindsay family will accompany.
