The 1953-54 Detroit Red Wings had plenty to celebrate after capping a sixth straight Prince of Wales Trophy season with their third Stanley Cup championship in five seasons. Ted Lindsay finished second to only Gordie Howe in Red Wings scoring while earning the most PIM, and scored the overtime series-winning goal in Game 5 of the semifinals vs the Maple Leafs en route to the Stanley Cup. This silver-plated lidded serving dish was presented to the late, great Ted Lindsay to commemorate the Red Wings regular season and Stanley Cup championship. “National Hockey League Champions and Stanley Cup Winners - 1953-1954 - Detroit Hockey Club Inc. – R.B. “Ted” Lindsay”” is engraved inside the lid of the serving dish, which is 9 1/2" x 7 1/4" and stands about 5 1/2" tall with the lid in place (the small handle for the lid is no longer present). Magnificent and wonderfully preserved Red Wings championship memento has "E.G.W.&S", "IS", "International Silver Co." and "044/96" stamped to the underside of the bowl. Sporting minor surface wear and scratches to the lid and oxidation to the bottom of the dish, an LOA from the Lindsay family will accompany.
