From Peter Mahovlich’s personal collection, offered here are his vintage 1972 Summit Series official program and a 40th anniversary Canada team-signed program. Pete’s classic 1972 Hockey Canada Canada-Russia series program is the one that was sold for all four games played in Canada. At 10” x 10”, this almost 50 year-old program remains in great condition with just normal handling/spine wear along with light creases and faint stains on the front and back covers. The 1972 Canada-Russia series 40th anniversary program from Moscow is a Russian language affair that has been signed by 23 members of Team Canada 1972, including head coach Harry Sinden, series hero Paul Henderson, deceased HOFers Tony Esposito and Rod Gilbert, HOFers Brad Park, Guy Lapointe, Phil Esposito, Yvan Cournoyer, Serge Savard, Frank Mahovlich and Marcel Dionne, and deceased team members Pat Stapleton, Bill White and J.P. Parise, as well as Ron Ellis, Wayne Cashman, Red Berenson, Rod Seiling, Pete Mahovlich, Mickey Redmond, Don Awrey, Jocelyn Guevremont and Ed Johnston. Three Russian players, HOF goalie Vladislav Tretiak and forwards Alexander Yakushev and the late Vladimir Petrov, have signed, making for a total of 26 ballpoint autographs. Comes with Peter Mahovlich’s signed LOA.
