Coming-off an especially successful campaign in 2010-11 that included a Stanley Cup championship along with earning the prestigious Conn Smythe, Tim Thomas backstopped the Bruins in 59 regular-season contests in 2011-12, and battled Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals in each of the Bruins seven playoff contests. These goal pads have been photo-matched to the earlier portion of the 2011-12 season, accompanied by a glove photo-matched to both the regular season and three games of the playoffs. All identifiers have been removed or covered, with “Thomas” embroidered to each item. The glove shows moderate game-use with a number of dark marks covering the pocket as well as small areas of red paint transfer, while the pads exhibit just minimal use. Inventory labels presumably from the Bruins that list Thomas along with the particulars have been affixed to each (removable), with the glove initialed by Kay Whitmore in his capacity as goaltending supervisor of the NHL. Hailing from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Tim Thomas will accompany.
