Originating from just his fourth full season backstopping the Boston Bruins, Tim Thomas would see action in 43 regular-season games in 2009-10, earning 5 of his 31 career shutouts. We have equipment used that season by the star keeper, with a glove and pads that have been photo-matched together, along with a pair of goal skates. Bauer models in matching Bruins’ white, black and gold colour scheme, “Thomas” is embroidered to each, with no player identifiers on the skates. The glove and pads all show nice game-use with puck marks littering the surfaces, with the Bauer Supreme skates showing light use – possibly worn for a short time or even a single contest, with red paint transfer to each blade holder. Inventory labels presumably from the Bruins that list Thomas along with the particulars have been affixed to the glove and pads, with these items also initialed by Kay Whitmore in his capacity as goaltending supervisor of the NHL. Hailing from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Tim Thomas will accompany.
Getty Image #98087083 (March 29, 2010) has been matched to a number of marks visible within the pocket of the glove, while the image has also been matched to a number of marks present on the front of each goal pad. Additionally, Getty Image #98484472 (April 11, 2010) has been matched to a number of marks on the pocket and wrist guard of the glove.
