Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Concluding his prosperous 10-season career in the jersey of the Dallas Stars, Tim Thomas would witness just 8 regular-season games of action with the Texans in 2013-14 along with a single playoff contest – the very last of his career. From his final NHL season, we have a blocker and glove combo used by Thomas with Dallas most likely in practices (these do not show up in images of the single playoff or 8 regular-season games Thomas played with the Stars), along with skates and a chest protector also used during his time with the Stars. The blocker and glove sport no identifiers and are in solid white with green and black leather accents, with “Thomas” embroidered to each. Both exhibit puck marks and show light use. The skates are CCM/Reebok models with Prolite G blades, with just very light use exhibited on the pair, with Dallas Stars cloth blade holders to accompany. The chest protector is a Warrior model that shows use with initials added along with a handwritten code. Inventory labels presumably from the Bruins that list Thomas along with the particulars have been affixed to the blocker and glove, with each also initialed by Kay Whitmore in his capacity as goaltending supervisor of the NHL. Hailing from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Tim Thomas will accompany.
