Associated with the Boston Bruins, spending the majority of his career in Beantown which included hoisting a Stanley Cup with the black and gold, Tim Thomas concluded his impressive career in Dallas, backstopping the Stars in 8 regular-season games during his final season of 2013-14 along with a single playoff contest. From his last hurrah, we have a matching-set blocker and glove along with uniform pants, with all three items photo-matched – with the glove matched to his final NHL regular-season game (April 13, 2014). The blocker and glove are in solid black with white accents and no identifiers, with “Thomas” embroidered to each, with the pair initialed in silver by Kay Whitmore in his capacity as goaltending supervisor of the NHL. Both exhibit just light game-use. The pants are Warrior models that show moderate use with NHL and Stars logos embroidered to the right pant leg, with “Thomas” embroidered over the tongue (Kay Whitmore has also initialed). Inventory labels presumably from the Bruins that list Thomas along with the particulars have been attached to the blocker and glove (removable). Hailing from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Tim Thomas will accompany.
Regarding the photo-matches, for the pants, Getty Image #484968223 (April 12, 2014) has been matched to distinct marks and threading visible along the white stripping accent on the outer side of the right pant leg. For the glove, Getty Image #484968229 (April 13, 2014 - FINAL REGULAR-SEASON GAME) has been matched to dark marks visible on the white leather padding affixed to the wrist guard of the glove, with the white specs within the pocket matching as well. Lastly, for the blocker, Getty Image #483220023 (April 6, 2014) has been matched to a number of marks visible within the white leather striping accents on the face of the blocker.
