This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/27/2021
Dominated by colourful vintage retail jerseys including a number of Montreal Canadiens examples, this lot also features a pair of fiberglass replica goalie masks, a 1970s Esposito brothers “Battling Brothers” table-top hockey game with the original box, a pair of vintage 1950s CFL soft-felt pennants (Montreal and Edmonton), two pairs of vintage 1940s youth-sized hockey pants, a 1950s/60s youth-sized Detroit Red Wings wool jersey and more. The jerseys total 16 (17 with the mentioned Red Wings wool) and include a number that appear to hail from the 1970s/80s with durene and mesh examples – with a number youth-sized, with 7 different Habs sweaters along with the Charlestown Chiefs, “NHL Pro Am Hockey School” with Henri Richard team crest, Rangers (durene), Bruins (3, one durene, one knit and one with no team crest), Penguins, Mississauga Chiefs, and a youth-sized Gretzky Bic jersey. The goalie masks include a replica of Jacques Plante’s, with each signed on the interior and dated “2011”. The pennants are approx 20” with screened graphics and intact tassels (moderate to heavier wear to the pair). Lastly, the Esposito brothers metal hockey game is approx 12” x 24” and appears complete, with a bonus pack of Esposito brothers “Mini Hockey Set” still sealed in the original packaging included. The box is complete, but shows moderate to heavier wear with toning and clear tape.
