Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
A standout at BU for a trio of seasons, Shawn McEachern earned a Stanley Cup championship during his rookie campaign with Pittsburgh in 1991-92 while also representing the US at the Winter Olympics. From his sophomore season, we have a Pens jersey worn by the Massachusetts native in 1992-93. A Maska label with handwritten “15” and a size “50” fly tag are affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the tackle twill Penguins team crest in use from this season until and including 1998-99, “15” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with the Stanley Cup centennial crest placed over the right breast. Sporting heavy game-use with marks, burns, pulls and scrapes littering the front and sleeves, there is also pilling to the interior and exterior, with team repairs situated over the reverse (1), shoulders (2) and sleeves (13).
