Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Ideal for those on the hunt for unique Stanley Cup champion team-signed items, we have a rarely seen Philadelphia Flyers colouring book team-signed by 19 members of the 1973-74 Flyers. At 8 ½” x 11” and featuring a caricature of big, bad Dave Schultz on the cover, the book remains unused, with all 19 signing the back cover in matching blue ballpoint, including HOFers Clarke and Parent, along with Schultz, Clement, Lonsberry, Van Impe (with personalization), Kelly, Flett, Dornhoefer, Crisp, Nolet, MacLeish, Barber, Saleski, Taylor, Blandon, Ashbee and the Watson brothers. While not overly dark, the signatures display well with a few bunched-up, with light wear to the colouring book itself including toning and a few minor cover creases. The Flyers would lose only 16 contests in 1973-74 and defeat Bobby Orr and the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup final for the club’s first championship in franchise history.
