Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021

Known as one of the loudest of the hallowed Original Six venues and lovingly referred to by Windy City supporters as “The Madhouse on Madison”, the Chicago Stadium was constructed in the spring of 1929 and served as the largest indoor arena in the world during the era. Originally purchased in the historic Leslie Hindman Chicago Stadium auction that took place on Oct 15, 1994 and featured over 400 items from the historic building, we have an original dual-sided exit sign. Three-sided at approx 8" x 14", with the sign designed to have the two outer sides with "exit" facing left and right when mounted, the traditional “exit” in red block letters has been used over each glass portion, with an interior light providing illumination. Both glass panels are intact and remain problem free, with none of the original wiring or hardware included and just minimal wear to the painted exterior. Artifacts once used in historic Original Six buildings have all but dried-up in the hobby, making this offering significant.
