Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
A two-time All-Star, beginning his career with Texas after being drafted by both Seattle and Chicago, Tom Henke spent 14 seasons in Major League Baseball and led the AL in saves in 1987. From the World Series Championship season of 1992 – Henke’s only world title – we have a Toronto Blue Jays jersey worn by the star hurler. A Wilson label with “46” sizing is affixed to the collar, with an embroidered size/year/set swatch of “50 92 2” placed directly beneath. Styled with “Blue Jays” arching across the chest along with a partially embroidered Jays team crest over the right breast, the white button-up has been accented with “50” sewn to verso in matching material. Henke has signed the reverse in black marker, with the signature presenting beautifully. Sporting light use with a few marks visible, there is also some very minor sweat staining encompassing areas of the collar.
