Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021

Transitioning between his time with the Winnipeg Jets and a short stint in Switzerland, Phil Housley saw 26 regular-season games of action with the St Louis Blues in 1993-94, with an additional 4 post-season contests. From his quick stay in Missouri, we have a photo-matched Blues jersey worn by the superstar blueliner. A Maska Air-Knit label and size “50” fly tag is affixed to the collar, with CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the classic blue note team crest administered in layered tackle twill, “6” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “Housley” across the affixed nameplate. Sporting heavy game-use with a number of puck and stick marks visible as well as burns, stains and material pulls, there is also some peeling to the vinyl accents on the team crest. We should further note that the jersey was hastily made-up for Housley, with a quick sewing job done to the reverse letters and nameplate. A photo from the season has been matched to the large stick mark directly beneath the team crest, with the shape, length and placement identical. The Custom Crafted team patch denoting the garment as a “1st Set” specimen has been screened to the inside hem (“R34153” has also been handwritten), with an LOA to accompany along with the 8” x 10” photo used to provide the photo-match.
