Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Hailing from the very season that witnessed iconic blueliner Paul Coffey join the defenceman's 1,500 points club – a group so exclusive Ray Bourque is the ONLY other member – we have a Carolina Hurricanes jersey worn by the legend during the 1999-00 NHL season. A CCM label with size “52” fly tag sits affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with an attractive multi-coloured Hurricanes team crest with embroidered detailing, the solid red V-neck has been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with alternate sewn to each shoulder. There is also the NHL 2000 crest and Raleigh Arena inaugural patch over the right breast, with the “3” crest over the left shoulder to honour Steve Chiasson. Game-wear is light on the important sweater, with a few marks over the lower left sleeve along with a couple faint marks over the team crest. Originating from Paul Coffey’s personal collection, a Classic Auctions LOA will accompany.
