Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Employing various guitar brands throughout his time with The Beatles including Gibson and Fender, John Lennon most notably used Rickenbacker, primarily four different models, including “Hamburg” (1958 model with Bigsby vibrato) and “Miami” (1964 six-string model DB122). Produced from 1990 to 1994, Rickenbacker hand-crafted limited-edition John Lennon models made from “the finest solid hardwoods with a hand rubbed finish”, built entirely at the company’s factory in Santa Ana, California, and we offer an example. Sporting a Jetglo finish with three toaster pickups, John Lennon pickguard and dot neck inlays, the attractive model also features a facsimile Lennon signature and caricature, and will be accompanied by a Rickenbacker case (with keys), COA listing the limited-edition number of “1746 of 2000”, original warranty, dusting cloth, bridge cover and additional paperwork. Regarding the condition, the guitar exhibits just light scratches over the neck, body and headstock.
