Enjoying two different lengthy stints with the St Louis Blues in both the 1960s and 1970s during his playing career, Red Berenson later led the squad from behind the bench for a trio of seasons beginning in 1979-80. The Red Baron would lead the Blues to a 1st place finish in his sophomore campaign while losing only 18 contests, and was awarded the Jack Adams “Coach of the Year” award for his efforts. Originating from his personal collection, we have the Jack Adams Trophy presented to Berenson. At 14” in height and featuring a generic player mounted over a lidded trophy bowl and tiered wooden base, a small photo plaque with Adams image and biography is inserted over the base (the plaque is not affixed, and can be removed), with “1980-81” engraved above, and “Gordon Red Berenson – St Louis Blues” below. There is heavy surface wear/loss to the lower metal portions of the trophy, with some additional wear along the rim of the bowl and to the mounted player. A signed LOA from Red Berenson will accompany.
