Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Lumber used while guarding the crease of Canada’s favourite team is offered, with signed sticks used by netminders Curtis Joseph (late-1990s/early-2000s) and Felix Potvin (1993-94). Bauer (Joseph) and KOHO (Potvin) models with the respective player’s name stamped to the upper shafts (“Cujo” for Joseph), the original tape jobs remain intact on both sticks, with a date code to the Potvin of “25 JAN 1994” as well as a custom-scored handle. Each has been signed on the upper paddle in silver (the Potvin appears to be a quick, rushed example), with “BB” added to the paddle near the signature on the Cujo stick (possibly to signify “Boston Bruins”?). The sticks also sport light (Joseph) and moderate (Potvin) game-use, with puck marks to the blades and wear to the tape, with no cracks or breaks to either example.
