Chosen second-overall behind Bryan Berard at the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, Wade Redden enjoyed a lengthy career primarily in the nation’s capital with the Senators, and made appearances at two NHL All-Star Games. From the early-to-mid-2000s, circa 2003-04, we have a signed stick used by the star, with this an Anton Volchenkov model with his name on the upper shaft (numerous images can be found of Redden using this model with his name on the upper shaft as well with examples with “Volchenkov”. Getty Image #3298578 - March 13, 2004). An Easton Synergy model with blacked out lower shaft, the original black tape remains on the blade and white bee-hive style wrap over the handle. Considerable game-use is apparent on the composite stick, with wear to the taped sections of the blade and handle, with additional marks including some blue paint transfer to the shaft. Redden has placed a thin gold ink signature on the front side heel that projects well against the black background.
