Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
The first European-trained starting netminder to hoist Lord Stanley’s hardware, Dominik Hasek appeared for a number of NHL clubs throughout his impressive career. Hailing from the era when The Dominator was a three-time consecutive Vezina winner, we have a stick used while with Buffalo in the late-1990s, circa 1999-00. A Louisville TPS Kevlar model, “Hasek” factory graphics appear on the upper shaft, with the stick retaining its original tape over the blade and knob. The underside of the handle along the paddle has been custom-shaved for Hasek’s preferred grip, with heavy game-use present including numerous marks to the well-worn blade tape as well as marks and chipping to the paddle, with red paint transfer to the shaft. There is also a crack to the blade at the top of the heel. Hasek has signed the upper paddle in black marker, with the signature displaying nicely.
