Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Selected by the New York Rangers in 1995, Marc Savard is the Oshawa Generals franchise all-time points leader. Dressing for four different NHL clubs throughout a career cut short due to post-concussion syndrome, Savard won a Stanley Cup championship in 2011 with Boston. This lot features a trio of sticks used by the star during his time with the Atlanta Thrashers (2002-2006), with two that are signed. Warrior (circa 2005-06), TPS (circa 2002-03) and Fury models are offered, with the TPS model sporting “Savard” factory graphics, with a matching “9” handwritten over each handle. The original tape remains on each blade and upper shaft/knob, with “SIJ” handwritten on the underside handle of the Warrior and TPS models. All three sticks exhibit nice game-use and remain intact with no cracks or breaks. The Fury and TPS models have also been signed in black marker at the heel, with the signature on the Fury stick quite worn. Hailing from the personal collection of an important hockey executive, his signed LOA will accompany.
