Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021

Successful at every level throughout his lengthy two-decade career in professional hockey, Rob Blake earned a James Norris Trophy along with a Stanley Cup, with gold medals won while representing Canada at the World Championships and Winter Olympics. This stick was used by the star defender during his time with the Los Angeles Kings in the late-1990s/early-2000s, with this specific model of stick seeing use in his competent hands from approx 1998 to 2002. A Bauer Supreme model with “R Blake” stamped to the upper shaft, the stick retains the original black tape on the blade and black cloth wrap-over-white on the handle, with “5” handwritten over the top of the knob (we sold a matching model previously with “22” handwritten to the knob, with this maybe signifying the 5th game of the season). Exhibiting light game-use, there is some wear to the blade and marks to the shaft, with a small bit of stick residue from tape over a small area of the upper shaft. Blake added a black marker signature to the heel that displays nicely. Hailing from the personal collection of an important hockey executive, his signed LOA will accompany.
