Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Saying goodbye to one of sport’s most iconic buildings, famously called the “Church of Hockey” by none other than Wayne Gretzky, the Toronto Maple Leafs played their last 31 games at the hallowed Maple Leaf Gardens in 1998-99, transitioning to the Air Canada Centre midway through the season. The Leafs final game at MLG would occur on Feb 13th, while their first game at ACC took place on Feb 20th. We have a pair of ticket booklets for the 1998-99 NHL season, with Leafs season tickets for the final games at MLG, as well as the first games at ACC, accompanied by final game at MLG and opening game at ACC programs. At just under 7” x 12”, each booklet features Leafs emblems on the covers, with all tickets unused and intact, with just light wear to the pair. Both sets of tickets feature player images, with the MLG tickets honouring past Leafs legends including Conn Smythe, Hap Day, King Clancy, Turk Broda, Tim Horton and others. The programs both show just light handling wear.
