Serving as the flagship player for the Minnesota North Stars/Dallas Stars as the franchise’s all-time leader for goals, assists, points and games played, Mike Modano was a member of a Stanley Cup championship with the Stars in 1999 and has made eight appearances at the NHL All-Star Game. From the late-1990s, we have a stick used by the superstar in the Stanley Cup playoffs, with this specific type of model seeing use from 1998-99 to and including 2000-01. An Easton T-Flex model with inserted black Easton blade, “Modano Custom 95” appears over the upper shaft in factory graphics, with the original black tape over the blade and handle intact. There is also a handwritten code on the butt end of “RD 3 GM 1” (Round 3 Game 1). The Stars advanced to the third round of the playoffs in both 1999 and 2000 (vs Colorado both years), so the stick could hail from either season. Sporting nice game-use with wear to the taped section of blade as well as over the handle, the shaft had a substance applied throughout for added grip, and remains sticky. Modano would score 23 points in 23 playoff games in both 1999 and 2000!
