Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Dallas Cowboys’ star quarterback Roger Staubach had put up career-highs for completions and passing yardage in 1974, prior to appearing on Topps cards like this in 1975 and that season would begin a run of five straight Pro Bowl appearances, after guiding Dallas to Super Bowl X. He would later lead the Cowboys to victory in Super Bowl XII in 1977 and be proclaimed NFL Man of the Year in ’78. A member of the NFL 1970s All-Decade Team, Roger is offered here in PSA MINT 9 form and awaits your big-time encapsulated Cowboys/Stauback/’75 Topps stash. The older PSA holder has been well cared for; we do not spot any scratches on the front, although three are detected on the back. A beauty to hold and behold, you’ll be pleased upon its arrival, with the cards of Roger and Terry Bradshaw the most important/valuable non-rookie cards in the ’75 Topps set. More than 1300 similar Staubach cards have been examined by PSA over the years, with only 22 scoring higher than MINT 9.
