Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
The last of his eight seasons as the darling of Hollywood, Wayne Gretzky spent his final year with the Los Angeles Kings in 1994-95, registering 81 points in 62 games. From that final season before moving on to 18 games with the St Louis Blues, we have a stick used by The Great One in 1994-95, with this specimen most likely seeing just practice use as the knob does not feature any handwritten coding, with this an essential trait for a Gretzky gamer from the era. An Easton Aluminum model, “Gretzky” factory graphics appear over the upper shaft, with this repeated on the stem of the inserted Easton wooden blade. The original Gripper is intact on the handle, with the blade tape removed, with some residue remaining. Light game-use is visible to the inserted blade and stem, with just a few scratches and marks to the lower shaft.
