Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Yes, an alluring Hall of Fame signing lineup headlines this years-in-the-making autographed card collection, with a vast majority of them pack pulls from the last thirty years. One can tell that our consignor liked retired players/stars, with cards from products like Topps Heritage, Parkhurst and 1972 The Year in Hockey well represented. Highlights are many and include a 2006-07 Bee Hive Signature Scrapbook Gordie Howe card, while Maurice Richard’s (faded) signature is on the back of a 1992-93 Score insert. A thick In The Game Bobby Hull Hallowed Hall signed card is serial-numbered “22/45” while only ten examples were produced of an ITG Forever Rivals Doug Gilmour Selke Trophy Winner Jersey and Auto card. Other cards signed by HOFers feature the autographs of Willie O’Ree, Lindsay (2), Delvecchio (2), Bathgate, Cournoyer (2)(one is an encapsulated Ultimate Memorabilia issue), Parent, Giacomin, Tony Esposito (2), Perreault, Park, Dionne, Bossy, Gillies, Federko, Langway, Francis, Robitaille (2), Oates and MacInnis. Goalie enthusiasts are well-served with some two dozen netminder entries, notably those of Liut (2), Hextall (2), Mio, Moog, Irbe, Khabibulin (2) and Crawford. Former players include Ellis, Neilson, Plett, Anderson, Turnbull, Nicholls, Kerr, Dale Hunter, Hadfield, Tkaczuk, Theoren Fleury and others, with Giroux, Zuccarello, McDonough and Folingo among those still playing. Other less significant signers have come and gone, with some better known amid ten Be A Player issues. Check out all our images – some entrepreneurial hobbyist or lover of autographs should be enticed.
