Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
International hockey and the epic 1972 Canada-Russia Series leads/highlights this offering, with Henderson, Cournoyer and 25 other Team Canada members featured in a ’72-73 O-Pee-Chee near complete insert set, missing only Phil Esposito for completion. You can anticipate mostly cards in the VG neighborhood, with just two real low grade entries being Cashman and Stapleton. A little stack of 15 extras includes Dryden, Henderson, Tony O and duplication (four Savard), with condition lesser/low. Also low grade but with star power and from the same era are 40+ Topps representatives, with ’70-71 Orr (P), ’71-72 Clarke, Perreault, Park and Plante and ’73-74 Lafleur and Dionne among them. “Future Trends” cards from the 1990s are in set form and include the participants in the ’72 Summit Series (100 cards) and ’76 Canada Cup (200 cards), with two Canada Cup programs from ’76 and another from ’81 roughed up and accompanied by a nicer ’87 Relive The Dream program. There’s a ’77-78 OPC WHA near set, missing Howe, Hull and Mahovlich, with some sharp high grade cards spotted, along with light toning across the tops of some of the cards stored across the top of 9-pocket pages, with ’88-89 OPC common cards in a binder totaling 120. Completing are McDonald’s card sets (two each) from the first couple of years of that promotion and one from ’93-94. Check it all out and let us know.
