Highlighted by an unused 1963 Post Cereal CFL sticker album along with Montreal Alouettes gems including an original 1955 team photo, this lot offers a nice small group of CFL items dominated by trimmed 1950s Weekend Magazine and La Patrie pictures. Included along with the Post album (minor edge and spine wear), we have an Alouettes 1964 fold-over Christmas card signed by coach Guy Girardeau (5 ½” x 8” folded, with an affixed 3” x 6” team photo), a 1973 Alouettes team photo on glossy stock (6” x 9 ½”, with clear tape over the corners), a 1969 Miss Grey Cup gala program featuring Gordon Lightfoot with original $5.00 ticket (vertical fold line, with large crease and clear tape to the ticket), and a pair of 1965 Alouettes programs (heavy toning, with a cover tear and spine damage to one). The 1955 team photo is 8” x 10” and pictures the full squad, with a stamp on the reverse from Ed Birmingham commercial photographers (scrapbook residue on the reverse corners along with pinholes, with loss to the upper right corner). Next, we have a 1976 Hamilton Tiger-Cats yearbook (moderate wear), approx 20 pages of mounted 1958, 1959 and 1960 Star Weekly player newsprint images, 8 pages with Weekend Magazine player clippings, another 10 pages with misc player clippings and 9 pages with individual player newsprint images from painting done by Tex Coulter. Most of the trimmed player images show light wear, with each affixed to vellum sheets. Additionally, four vintage 1950s ceramic football player statues stamped “Japan” are also included, with these small and charming figurines reminiscent of Rittgers statues. All four show general wear, with two having broken-off pieces.
