Wayne Gretzky scored an astounding 163 points in 1990-91 for the L.A. Kings to claim the ninth of his record 10 Art Ross Trophy wins, and we offer a stick used by the superstar during the high-scoring season. An Easton Aluminum HXP5100 model with “Gretzky” factory graphics over the upper shaft and “Gretzky” stamped to the top of the inserted Easton stick blade, the original black tape remains over the blade, with Wayne’s trademark black “Gripper” over the handle. There is also a handwritten code on the butt end of the knob of “A64”, with the believed to signify “A” for the first stick used in the match, and “64” for the LA Kings’ 64th game of the season. The 64th game of the season featured the Kings battling Pittsburgh to an 8-2 victory on Feb 26, 1991, with Wayne registering three assists. Regarding game-use, there is wear to the taped section of blade along with a few marks to the blade stem, with additional light wear to both the shaft and gripper. There is also a small area of residue on the underside of the lower shaft that appears to originate from a piece of affixed stick tape.
